Our Center Philosophy

All children should feel that they are an important part of their school's community.  This community is created through mutually supportive relationships between families, teachers, and students.  All children's cultures should be appreciated and represented in their school community.  Communication between parents and teachers is an important way to ensure that all children's needs are met.

Teachers create an environment that scaffolds children's inquiries and provides opportunities for every child to be successful in all areas of development.  Through individualized curriculum, teacher support the development of the whole child.

Children learn the most valuable knowledge by investigating what interests them most.  The teacher directed, hands-on learning naturally allows children freedom of individual expression, as well as a freedom to collaborate with others.  The use of imagination allows children to expand their roles and relationships within the safety of play.

The environments, relationships, and activities children participate in during their early years assist them in developing a strong sense of self within their communities.
